Disappointed

I'm 38 weeks & i had my weekly appointment today. When i got there my ob said if my cervix is open she will do a membrane sweep to get things going. She then checked & said I'm closed :( i can't believe after all the contractions I've been having in the past week, that I haven't made any progress. I just went home & cried. I am beyond uncomfortable, i have a feeling I'm going to be over due.

@Abigailsmamma omg i almost wanted to go off on him when he told me that. It's easy for them to say! I know he didn't mean anything by it but man was i heated at the moment. I've tried walking & having sex. Apparently nothing is working!

I'm so sorry. I'm getting stressed out about my cervix too. I don't want to go over due at all. It's so hot outside and it seems like even if you have ac on you can't cool off.

I've been the same, tons of contractions and I'm hardly dilated at all I'm 38+4, it's so frustrating...
And as for your bf/husband saying it'll happen when she's ready... Mine says that too and I seriously want to punch him every time. I'm like NO YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND!!

Im 37+3 and i know how uncomfortable you feel... i want the baby out so bad. im always depressed and in a horrible mood and blowing up on everyone. i have a doctors appoint monday i will be almost 38 weeks and im.hoping somethings happening. i have been getting cramps lately. im hoping that like with my first my baby will be early then over due.

I know how u feel well kinda lol I'm only 36 weeks and we went to the doctors 2 days ago and she checked me and I'm not even 1 cm dilated but I'm 80% thinned out I was so upset cuz after having contractions everyday for 2 weeks I thought I would be more dilated but I'm not :/ the baby is ready to come he is very low and ready to be here but my cervix isn't opening yet :( it's almost heartbreaking knowing u have to wait longer than u wanted to see ur baby!

@mommabear also, why did you even have to be induced with you kids? I'm hoping something happens in the last 2 weeks that i have left!

lol i hear that being induced is so much worse! Is that true?

I have been induced with all my kiddos there all great I wouldn't want want my water to break ill probably die lol

Yeah, my bf keeps saying it will happen when the baby is ready. Which i know but men don't understand how it feels! I just wanted to have made some progress, I'm scared of going over & having to be induced :( i want it to happen on its own.. you know?

: (  I'm sorry mama. But I am always told that baby will come when baby is ready. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable you are at 38w, I'm only approaching 33w and I am getting uncomfortable.
