being induced tomorrow!!

Hi ladies. my baby is being quite stubborn so I have to be induced tomorrow. I really would like to try to go without getting an epidural but I have heard being induced is much more painful labor. has anyone gotten induced and NOT gotten the epidural? I will probably end up getting it but can anyone tell me their experiences?

I was induced at 36 weeks with my son...i did get an epidural because the contractions were unbearable for me. They were back to back every 2 minutes so i wasnt getting a break :/ HOWEVER, ONCE i started to push, the epidural just stopped working and i felt EVERYTHING. I had an epi with my first daughter and it worked but with my sons induction, i can honestly say the pain wasnt as bad as I thought. You can do it. Its more pressure than anything. I am going to try natural this time since I did it involuntary with my son lol.

I was induced with my first and almost made it without the epidural. But they had to put me off and I was dilating to fast, three emergency c-sections, and so they absolutely had to give it to me at 8cm, another reason they gave it to me that soon was because I was cussing all the nurses and my doctor out and they wanted me to sleep

I had to be induced with my first due to her being stillborn. They tried Cervadil for the first 3 days, didn't work. Then they did the balloon catheter on the 4th day to open me up to 3cm so they could start Pitocin. Once they started Pitocin I started having contractions (which lasted about 12 hours before delivery). They weren't so bad at first. They started getting really bad once I reached 5cm. I asked for an epidural at that point, but by the time the anesthesiologist came I was 10cm and there was no time. She was born on the 5th day in about 20 minutes from the start of pushing til the end. Just gotta remember to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. The pain of the contractions actually made me a bit nauseous, I almost puked lol. So really I've pretty much been "induced" in almost every way. Had to get her out somehow, and there was no way in hell I was having a c-section. All in all, it wasn't completely unbearable, but it was painful. Luckily with my 2nd pregnancy she came all on her own, med free again.
