And be careful of deli meats.....they harbor bacteria.....I've been buying meat at the store and sticking it on a skillet for a few minutes before I make a sandwich.
Also, Unisom and Benadryl are OK to take as well.
No artificial sweetners except for Splenda......there's no prrof that others cause harm, but there hasn't been enough research done on them.......
There was something on the radio today about caffiene.. they reduced the amount you are aloud to have,... it is now 1 1/2 cups a day.
as far as seafood, they say not to eat any shellfish either....pretty much anything that is a bottom feeder. they say not to eat alot of fish. I have just stayed away from it my whole pregnancy.
As far as medicine.. you are aloud regular strength tylenol.. you are not allowd anything with asprin in it.
Granted, I have not been pregnant long, but here is what I know:
Strongly avoid: Tobacco, Alcohol, Raw Meat, High Mercury Content Fish (large predatory fish),
You should also greatly minimize your caffiene intake, I just cut it out completely.
Also, I think if you spot at all you are to avoid sex for 7 days.
There is also a long list of medicine to avoid. You should be able to get this from your doctor or google it, ost doctors tell you what you CAN take on your first visit.
Good luck!
