Well if it kicks 3 times, then a few hours later kicks another 3 times, then youre over half way there :-) bearing in mind it will be active at night when youre sleeping as well. If youre worried, have something cold and sweet to drink (ie cold orange juice) and lie on your left side for an hour or so, with no distractions, you should feel it move about then, cause it'll try get away from the coldness of the drink x
I get about 3-4 kicks at a time.. Usualy happens more when im lying down.. I dont know if its 10 though should i be worried?
Drs. like for babies @ 20 weeks to kick at least 10 times a day. So they know the baby is actively kicking.
I'm sort of in the same boat... all though this isn't my first pregnancy I'm on my fourth. I'm always worried but i think its because i just recently wittnessed my friend lose her pregnancy but now that were in our second trimester we should worrie less about it and enjoy our pregnancy. And. if it is stil bothering u at ur next appointment I'm sure ur doc or midwife can do somthing to reassure i that ur baby is ok.
A baby should normally move 10 times within a 24 hour window, but movements start becoming more definitive between 18-24 weeks so dont worry if they're just tiny flutters at the moment, youll be getting some good kicks in the side or the ribs before long x
Thank you so much feel much better x
Hey, first of all congrats on your pregnancy :-) its normal to feel scared and anxious about everything thats going on, its a life-changing experience. I'm 35w 4d with my first baby and I'm 27. any pain or cramping that you're worried about, just give your midwife or Dr a call, it may be routine pains and if so they'll probably recommend using a hot water bottle, a hot bath or taking a couple paracetamol, that normally eases them off. If not, them they'll get you in and check you over, thats what they're there for :-) feel for you with the nausea, I had none until I hit 30weeks and now I have it every day. Ginger biscuits / ginger ale, dry crackers or dry toast are akways handy to help the nausea go away, I keep a packet of crackers beside my bed so I dont have to get up during the night. Dont be too worried that you can't feel much movement yet, its good that you've already felt some. A lot of people dont start feeling proper movement til up to 24 weeks, or you may find that if you've thought your tummys been rumbling, that can be the baby moving too. I didnt feel definite movement til about 22 weeks, before that it was just little flutters here and there, and now it doesnt stop :-) any questions feel free to post them up, someone will try help as much as they can x
Thankyou.. What do you mean by as long as your baby more 10 times at this stage?:S
It is totally normal to feel tired or dizzy. Sometime you will feel sick to where you not going to want to eat drink water and crackers or eat a piece of bread. That may help. Try not to stress because your baby doesnt need that emotion. As long as your baby more 10 times at this stage everything will be ok.
