What is the first ultrasound like? I'm 8 weeks today and I'm going to my first ultrasound in a week I just want to know what to expect

I didn't have a vaginal ultrasound at my first at 10 weeks. They just showed him in there to make sure he was normal and then heard and saw heartbeat. I wont have a vaginal ultrasound until 36 weeks

They didnt give me a vaginal ultrasound ever. My 7 week ultrasound was a normal ultrasound.

Usually you do a vaginal ultrasound and one for your tummy. They take measurements of the sac and everything. It's exciting because it's the first time you "see" the baby but it doesn't look like a baby yet. Good luck!!

They'll also check the heartbeat. You may see it or hear it. Also,this early it's a vaginal ultrasound. They check from the inside with the wand that goes inside. Noone told me that on my first ultrasound and I wish I'd known. But it isn't going to look like a baby yet so don't be disappointed if you can't tell what you're looking at.

They just meaure the baby and make sure everything looks ok. Youll get to see the baby but its way to early for gender or anything but they normally will print yoy off a few pictures.
