tractor pull hurt my unborn child ears?

I'm 36w6d and there is a tractor pull tonight & my dad seems to think the loud noise would hurt my babies ears. Is that true?

That's also my thing, I want to go tonight because I won't have the time the rest of the summer. The next pull is the 26th, but that's a day before my due date & my hubby is worried I'd go into labor there. lol.

I have been to two concerts and got my cwp while being past 20 weeks.  My doctor told me all of it was perfectly fine.  Yes, the baby can hear sounds but it has to pass thru many layers of skin, muscle, fat, uterus, not to mention all the fluids surrounding it.  So she said anything it does hear is extremely muffled.  Go on and enjoy it, you won't have the opportunity as much once baby arrives.

Thanks! My hubby runs a tractor in a parade in the beginning of Sept and my little guy will only be three months old, so I was going to get a cute pair of ear muffs. Lol

i know my one friend got their baby a pair of ear muffs so they could take them to hockey games... i would suggest this to your friend and keep them in mind for your future events... congrats on your pregnancy! and take care!

And its outside & I usually sit 400 ft from the Track, but if the wind blows a certain way, it makes it louder

Thanks guys! It hurts my ears with some of those tractor. And I wouldn't personally take my baby to a pull, but my friend took her three week old. I'm just not going to go to be on the safe side.

Your pretty far along and there isnt much protecting the babies ears at this time(babies running out of room)... would you take the baby if he/she was outside your womb? I would for sure ask your Drs advice on this... certain sounds can actually be amplified in the amniotic fluid so depending on the pitch of the sound the fluid could make it even louder for baby... Personally i wouldnt but if you feel comfortable then its really your choice... its a short term one time thing but there isnt any guarantee of knowing if its truly safe or not... so i guess you make the call? but for sure ask you Drs advice as well... oh and is it indoor or outdoor and if indoor is it ventilated well?

No probably not lol. I mean you don't want to stand directly next to a tractor while it revs and stuff but up in the stands or whatever you should be good

Well how does it feel to your ears?  Its the same to the baby. There is no way to cover and protect  your babys ears in there so I personally wouldn't go. Good luck.
