my 7 weeks old is only pooing once a day is it normal

hi everyone i havent been on for a few weeks but i thought i should come on and ask use a question i gave birth to my son in april and since the day he was born he has only been pooin once a day and thats it i cant remember how many time they are meant to but i think its more than once my son is now 7 weeks old and he is a great baby but i have notice that when he get up he crys i feed change and wind him i make sure i have done everything i dont hold him to much because i dont want him to get to used to getting held but i have notice no matter what when i have done everything for him he continues to cry until he falls asleep it doesnt matter how many times we fed change of wind him he just keeps crying. thats why im asking do use think he is constipated

joyRenee-thank you i will try the apple juice and see if it works but i will defo see my doctor

luvmy2girls- thank you for your comment im bottle feeding him he is taking about 7 ounce every 3 to 4 hours thats why i feel he should be pooing a bit more than just once i understand what you mean but hold him and cherish him which i do i just dont hold him if i dont need to if you know what i mean i love holding him but i only hold him when i need to or when hes falling asleep then i put him down thank you again for your comment i will be seeing my doctor to see if he is constipated

Agree with luvmy2girls on all accounts.

As per the possible constipation- definitely make a doctor appointment or at least call and ask what they think. You may be able to give him 2 ounces of diluted apple juice (one ounce of water with one ounce of juice).

He may very well be constipated.  Are you nursing or bottlefeeding? And just my opinion but he's still so young....hold him all you can.  Cherish those moments!  When they start being awake more is when I make sure they are able to fall asleep on their own.  Just my opinion....sorry!!
