tylenol question

I have a massive headache and couldnt get regular tylenol, hubby brought me extra strength. I went on the website as well as reading the 2 different bottles ( I have an empty regular) it seems to me the only difference is the mg. I usually take 2 regular @ 325 mg each. The extra strength is 500 mg each. Is it ok if I take 1? I have heard so much about only being able to take regular strength tylenol that I am a bit concerned but if its just mg's??

You can take up to 4000mg a day of tylenol. So it's perfectly safe to take extra strength.

thats all i have too and the doc said its fine as long as you don't go over 4000mg in one day.  I usually only take one depending on how bad my headache or whatever is and 2 if the ache is really bad. So id say it'd be safe to take two at a time like LosingmymindinGA and Clysta said

I also only took Extra Strength (2 at a time). On my sheet they gave me, it says you can take up to 4000 mg of Tylenol a day. Basically all Tylenol products are safe, such as Reg Tylenol, Tylenol Extra Strength and all Tylenol Cold medicines.

it should be safe to take up to 1000 mg every 4-6 hours.  The only difference between regular and extra strength is the milligrams per dose.  I only take extra strength tylenol and took it while I was pregnant at my docs recommendation,.
