Takari,
Yes it is normal to see just the Gestational Sac at 5 weeks. My first ultrasound was at 5 weeks, and they only saw a sac.... nothing else. I am 37 weeks now. What did your sac measure? I was really worried because they say that by the time your sac is 8mm you should see a yolk sac, and mine at 8mm didn't. However, everything went great the rest of my pregnancy. Have you had any cramping or bleeding? My OB also thought I would miscarry, because of my history, and she even gave me a RHO Gam shot. I hate it when they are like that!!
did u go for the ultrasound? i went for the scan and the doctor said she could see the gestation sac but no yolk sac. She thinks i might miscarry. she asked me to come back next week if she can c the yolk sac.
Is the normal to see just the gestational sac in 5 weeks?
is it possible the yolk sac can be seen in next 2 weeks?
Thanks Takari. I will let you know Friday how it goes. We can keep track of the pregnancy together, since we are almost the same. I don't know what your doctor meant with the fluid, maybe it was the sac. But there is a big difference between sac and fluid. You're gonna know for sure friday. Good Luck
Thanks for your response.
when i went to the scan on feb13th, the doc said there was some fluid and she is not sure wht it is. I thought that is SAC. but dont know.
ur HCG alevels and mine are same. please let me know after your scan this friday.
I will keep u posted.
Have a happy and healthy pregnancy. dont worry this time it will be a successful pregnancy.
Hi. We are almost on the same track. My LMP was Jan. 10 I had a sono last friday and we saw a sac 5mm It looked kind of small for the moment but the doctor said it's still early. The HCG last friday the 15 was 3345 I have another sono this friday. I hope everything goes well. I'm scared cause i have had 2 m/c so it's easy being pregnant again. So let's hope for the better for both of us. Jenny
