underage?
So my boyfriend and I just found out we are having our first baby! I'm 8 weeks pregnant as of February 13th. But the question is, can my boyfriend get in trouble with the law since he is 18 and I'm 17. My parents and his parents are being very supportive so there's no issue there. Just wondering if he could go to jail or get filed as a registered sex offender? Help please!!
In Wisconsin even though you are only a year apart this is considered a Class A Misdemeanor and he can be fined up to $10,000 and serve up to a 9 month prison sentence. Like I said it's unlikely anyone will report this but it is possible.

you can google the laws! I just did and it said expemtions can be if the man is 19 or under and had sex with someone who was younger but not younger than a 4 years difference! You'll be fine mommma (: it's one years difference and even with strict laws, you should be fine! I'm sure it happens all the time (:
Yea in Wisconsin you can still get in trouble. Even if your parents don't want to report it your doctor still can. It doesn't usually happen unless the age difference is more than a few years though.
Because I'm still underage and he is not. Its not that I'm really worried or concerned I'm just kind of confused cause I have many people saying nothing will happen but then a few ppl says its very possible he'll get in trouble. He'll actually be 19 3 days before I'm supposed to be due. Not that it really matters but yeah!
I'll be 17 still. I did talk to a lot of ppl already and they said they probably won't do anything unless my parents want to press charges. Also I know a few ppl my age that had gotten pregnant under the age of 18 but their boyfriend was over 18. One girl is 16 and her bf just turned 21 and he never got in trouble. Another girl was 16 and bf was 19 or 20 and he never got in trouble. So I feel like nothing will happen. But idk
How old will you be when you deliver? Wisconsin has the strictest laws. They have no romeo and Juliette stipulations. Even though you are 17 and he is 18 he can still get prosecuted. I had a friend at 18 who was put in jail at 18 because his 16 year old girlfriend was overheard by a teacher talking about their relationship. He is now a registered sex offender for the rest of his life even though her parents approved of the relationship.
Where are you? Age of consent in Wisconsin is 18 no matter what. And even if parents say it's ok it can be turned over to the state for prosecution from a teacher, doctor, neighbor anyone
Its not 16-23 in florida its 16-19 17-20 the person can only be 3 years difference intil youre 18
Depends on your states laws. In Texas you're allowed to date underage as long as it's less than 3 years apart. Learned that from jury duty. Lol
