Ohhhhhhh... well I'm glad I made you laugh!!! Ha ha!!!
LMAO... OMG .. JOY... NO... THIS BABY WILL SUCK HER DRY! HE EATS ANYWHERE FROM 3-6 OUNCES A SITTING..... SHE IS NOT DEVESTATED. SHE WANTS TO DRY UP.... LOL
I bet she's devastated. When I made the choice to switch I was so broken-hearted and would cry and cry. I felt like a failure.
3 ounces from each breast sounds normal as most newborns only drink 1 1/2-2 ounces of formula/breastmilk. She probably just had an ample supply. Her supply WILL increase as baby's needs increase.
Poor thing. I hope she feels better soon!
Well like I said, she does eat enough... ANd drink enough, but she's not going to worry about it anymore.... She's going to formula.
she needs to make sure she is eating and DRINKING enough! she needs fluids to make breast milk. There are some herbal supplements she can take from GNC that help alot! I had to use them with my 2nd. I cant remember what they are called. Just tell the lady that shes looking for the pill that increases her milk production...... they will know, they are very popular! I hope she continues atleast until he is 3 months! Increasing her food and liquids and how often she feeds him and no pumping that should increase her milk! Good luck!
Well I just talked to her and now she's not so sure she want's to continue giving him breast milk........ But whatever. It's her body...
Hi, is she eating enough carbohydrates and staying overly hydrated? That is an enormous factor in nursing. For some mama's it is difficult to pump out milk. I made sooo much milk with all 3 of my men, but if I would pump, I barely got enough out to last him a feeding and I have a very expensive top of the line pump. It just wasn't enough.
Make certain that when she takes baby in for his 1 month check up that he is gaining enough weight steadily, that way she'll know if he is getting enough nourishment. If not her Dr. may suggest a supplement like formula.
I also drank a tea called "Mother's Milk" It is all natural and is designed for optimal breast milk health. Good luck, I hope that this helps!
She started pumping right away and was getting like 9 oz out of each breast .. now she's only getting 3...... Sean will be 1month tomorrow...
I am by no means an expert on breastfeeding, but how old is your nephew now? I hear that you should wait a little while before pumping so your milk gets established. I think maybe like 6-8 weeks. Has she called the doctor about it?
