Question about going to L&D

So my question is do you have to pay every time you go to L&D. Like is it the same as going to ER and they mail your bill.  Since I'm 39 weeks sometimes I feel like it's time but not really sure. I just don't want to keep being sent home. Sounds like a dumb question I know lol

We get charged here in georgia if they do anything for us like give an iv, or medication, or anything like that but I just went last week and all they did was hook me up to the monitor and check my cervix and I didn't get charged

They charge you to go to L&D and even ER?
Gosh that's terrible! Where do you live?
Here we never get charged to go to ER or L&D! :s
I think if we did no one at all would ever go. We'd probably all end up extremely ill or worse lol
