i AM due january 3rd..however, i thought every friday i changed to a new week? i thought thursday would be my last day for 16 wks....im confused......

yeah i just assumed 40 weeks back all of it is so confusing im just glad that i know i should have this baby around 1-15-2013

So even though you are not pregnant for the first 2 weeks of your cycle for some reason they still count that into your 40 weeks. I dont know why honestly. But they do. I would not worry though about your conception date since the dr will give you a due date and tell you how many weeks you are. That is really all that matters I think.

The 40 weeks is based from the time of the start of your last period. So your conception date is when you ovulated which normally the sperm has about a 24 hour window to get to the egg and attach itself. Then it takes a few more days for the egg to attach itself to the uterine wall and that is the implantation stage. For me my lmp was oct 20 (when my period started) and I ovulated on nov 2 so that was my conception date. I am due TODAY!!! Yippee.. Sorry just a little excited  :)

My conception date is 4/12/2012 and my due date is 1/15/2013 and I was 15 weeks Tuesday. Will be 16 weeks on the 31
