want to be induced

I want to be induced at 39 weeks and 2 days so my son can be born on his daddys birthday. I know he will come when hes ready but i knw it would mean everything to his daddy if they had the same birthday. Idk if i could request it.. idk. But i live in austin tx. Idk if my doctor would just laugh at me and say no, or if shed let me get induced..

Hopefully your doctor is for it. Mine told me she induces after a week past. My first was 10 days late. So I'm getting my membranes stripped at 39 weeks and I. Going to tell her if he doesn't come on his own I want to be induced at my next appt which I'll be 40+2 because I know he'll just be like my first and not want out.

All you have to do is ask. But ask before your 39 week appt. ask at your 37-38 week appt idk how far along you are but yes all you have to do is ask. Just tell your doctor if your baby doesn't come by then can you be induced and tell them the real reason the worst they could say is sorry but they won't induce that early. There's no harm in asking. 39 weeks is full term and tons of doctors will.

No actually he offered it to me. The soonest they can do it is 1 week (unless for health reasons they can do it sooner) a lot of people have horror stories about being induced, but I wouldn't listen. Everyone is different and my birth experience was wonderful!
