weight after birth ( baby fat )

Am i the only one that gets sad about the gain weight ? I had my daughter 3 weeks ago. Before i got pregnant, i was 114lbs now i am 130. I couldnt believe it when i saw the scale. My old jeans fit with my gut coming out. I love my baby but i do get depressed about my weight now. I just want these 6 weeks to pass so i can start excersising. And to stop breastfeeding so i can go on a diet.

Have any of you mommies dealt with this ??

I agree! Breastfeeding does help u lose weight quicker! You can exercise with your baby also to help u lose the weight and strengthen ur muscles back into shape too! I've had 2 daughters already and now pregnant with twins!

I breastfed and was dieting. Its not so much dieting as eating correctly and in correct portion sizes. I was 125 when I got pregnant with my son and 200 at 9 months. When I had him I dropped to 160. I ate well for one month and dropped 30 lbs. I just ate healthy. That's all. Baby doesn't lose nutrition BC you are still taking your prenatals but you don't have all the fat and grease from foods like beef and french fries and potato chips.

Breastfeeding will drop your weight faster than a diet.
