thanks very much everyone for your responses. i guess i'll have to see how things go tomorrow in 19 hours lol. i havent been drinking very much juice, this morning was my first cup in a while. my sister and mom are being nazi regulators! lol
I would not worry too much.....Weight seems to fluctuate for many in the first trimester due to a number of things.....Most of your weight gain usually should happen in the last trimester.......but if you are eating well and taking care I would not worry to much but also be sure to consider carbs and sugars when pregnant and eat more fibers and proteins....You would be amazed at the amount of carbs in foods you thought were healthy.....for me it was up and down and all around....I lost five pounds the first month due to nausea and vomiting....Then I gained a few.....right now i am like 8 pounds over my initial first appointment weight....but baby is like 7 lbs.......typically for me it was/is ideal not to really gain any weight...cause i am really big.....
Hope your appointment goes well...Ask these concerning questions when you go and inquire about foods to try and avoid....For example. My aunt, healthy guru freak that she was gained like 10 pound sin first 2 months......when they asked her what she was eating she mentioned she drinks a lot of fruit juices (HIGH in sugar content, even the healthiest ones) They told her to minimize drinking juices and focus on veggies and fruits instead of drinks.......Anyway..sorry for the bable........Be well and keep us posted....
Ususally you only gain 0-3lbs in the first trimester. I would think it's probably water retention and constipation/bloating. Make sure that you don't have too much salt in your diet (not salt from the shaker but read labels as that is where most of our sodium intake comes from). And increase the fiber in your diet to keep you regular and feeling full longer. Some women just gain a lot early on some don't gain until the end.
I'd see your doc or midwife when I mentioned my weight loss to her she said it wasn't concerning so early on but said if I was gaining weight that would be a problem, she never really said why but it's worth it getting looked in to
It's water weight and this happens to a lot of pregnant women. Minimize salt intake, that should help.
