very personal

This is kinda personal and disturbing. So if u dnt have advice or nothing gd to say then please dnt respond. Well I am 8 months pregnant and nerves as hell. One of labor and 2 of a little problem I have. I dnt have an stds or anything. But when I got my first period I start seeing that my vagina was not like everyone else. I have notice that I have extra skin that hangs almost lookin like a lil shribbled ball on both side of the lips of my vagina. I have been hiding it from the doctor because its very easy to hide. And plus I dnt think my doctor does a gd therow check on me anyways. But I know when I go into labor someone is bout to c it Nd it scares me to death. I dnt what they will say or think. I fear they make them I'm some sort of freak. And I dnt want everyone knowing about my lil problem. Only person that know is my boyfriend of .3 years and he thought is was creepy at first but now he pats it no mind. What should I do.

I forget what it's called, BUT I know it's very common to have those. They have seen it ALL, there is no reason to be ashamed, and when you're in that much pain, you're never going to worry about it anyway!

I have read that is completely Norma. I was shocked when I read your vagina may turn a bluish color. Just crazy pregnancy symptoms and hormone related. Good luck!

Good advice given there about showing your doctor but it sounds perfectly normal just a little extra skin, & abit of confidance 4 you.......... wen your being examined @ labour & delivery they giv you a sheet so no one can see wats there & wen they do want to see when bby is just about to apear ur skin down there will be stretched so it shouldnt be a problem :) good luck

I think we all hate the feeling of being looked at its a very vulnerable feeling ..my last appointment I wasn't expecting to be examined but I was :) no shaving for 3 weeks an that's a big deal for me ...anyway i told my Dr of course ur examining me I didn't freakin shave !! He said it best by saying I'm not here to look/study your vagina my job is too make sure your baby an u are healthy ..after that i feel a lot better about things ..I would talk to your Dr though an like so many other women have said your Dr has probably already seen this before ..they look at things in a medical way not like we do ..

I am sure your Doc has seen it before. Trust me, i am so insecure about my privates being shown and when i was told i was being induced the day of my 37 week checkup i was begging for them to let me go home first...i hadnt shaved in a couple weeks lol...i apologized to everyone who had to look downtown, but they always told me not to worry. Dont be ashamed! Plus your Doc might tell you why you have that extra skin and maybe give you some info on getting it removed.

I'm sure your doc has seen before. What you are describing isn't so unusual. There are many women with different types of skin around their labia. I know you might be embarrassed but I guarantee your doc has seen it before.
