Basically whn bby can fit threw ur cervix u have to b a nine so since ur at a 3 u have a ways to go but since ur 65% effaced that means ur cervix is softening so u can dilate more which is gud.. I'm goin on the 6th kid nd its always gud to b that much effaced that means if worse case senario they have to give u pitocin u Shud dilate very fast but sounds like ur makin excelent progress on ur own ... But the timing is always tricky it Cud take days or weeks before ur fully ready

I think you mean that you are 3cm 65% effaced, which means that your cervix have opened up by 3 centimeters and your cervix are 65% thinned out! Your cervix can take awhile to be fully effaced and dilated, or you could be going into labor in just a few days! All pregnancies are different, so there's no way to tell how much time you have left on your countdown clock. I myself had stayed at 2.5cm dilated and wasn't very effaced at all during my first pregnancy. They induced me a few days after my due date and as soon as they got the medicine in me, the baby was ready to come out!!!! I'm currently 38 weeks and one day pregnant with my third child. I'm only a fingertip dilated and doc hasn't told me how effaced I am (I'm assuming not at all considering that I haven't dilated) but we'll be inducing three days before my due date :D

Just means your cervix is opening up and thinning out. Be grateful, your labor will go faster because of it once it's time. It could still be a couple weeks before baby actually comes.
