Insomnia

Is anyone else having issues sleeping? All day long I'm exhausted but when night time comes around, if my fiancé falls asleep before me I take hours to sleep. It's driving me crazy because I hate to be up all night long, but nothing seems to be helping. I've tried baths, reading, walking, and just clearing my mind. I'm wondering if it's just because September is fast approching and I have a lot on my mind. Anyone have advise for what else I could try or what worked for them?

I have had the same issues this time around being pregnant my doctor told me to take beneadryl or tylenol pm before bed I hate taking medicine while pregnant because of fear of harming the baby but after researching the two found out that they are class a and class b meds that are 100 percent safe! They seem to help I don't work either so I can sleep as late as my 4 year old will allow haha!! Good luck to you!

Well I've had insomnia since I was 3 years old. So I honestly doubt that's helping it either. Lol. I've always been more of a night owl versus daylight person (which might come in handy after the baby is born) but I was hoping I might get on some kind of a sleep schedule. I guess the best part of is it I'm not working so I don't have to worry about waking up at a certain time. I just hate to sleep all day. Haha. I've tried everything I can think of but no luck. Aw well.

a lot of the cures for pregnancy insomnia are similar to those of non-pregnancy insomnia...bigger OR smaller meals before bed...warm milk..turning the air cooler in your bedroom and adding another comforter/blanket...going outside in 15-20 minute increments during the day to naturally regulate your melatonin levels...waking up earlier...light exercise during the day...etc...but unfortunately a lot of pregnancy insomnia is due to yes, racing mind, but also hormones that are not so easily solved :(. You can try any of the at-home remedies like I mentioned...the most successful for me in the past was the sun exposure (in light moderation obviously!!!) to regulate melatonin and the exercise....but sometimes there's just no fixing it. Good luck though hon, it really ***** I know because that's why I'm awake right now. Up until the past few days I've been a zombie the minute the sun goes down and unable to wake until DD prods me out of bed in the morning but the last few nights have been miserable for trying to sleep. hope you find something that helps you :)
