Ps I went in..got examined..had the pessary put in..basically took three days...two pessaries..one lot of.gel..six sweeps before anything happened.. I was in labour for about twelve hours..no easy contractions or build up..they started very very intense and were less than w minute apart from te word go. I tried to do it naturally but once I was 7cm I had the epidural and that was soooo helpful. My experience of induction wasn't good and this time im hoping for a natural birth. Bit anyway..your body takes over and you'll be shocked at how strong you can be!  Once you hold your baby the memory of the pain goes away :) like I said..any questions just message me..I was induced July 5th so felt exactly the same as you this time last year..why are you being induced by the way?

I'm in wales and was induced last July..any questions feel free to message me..my birth story is on the journal on my profile. I won't lie. It was very intense but the epidural helped so much so keep an open mind about the epi xx

Thank you kerriekab I'm so nervous I've had pains.last couple of days but nothing major. Thats a long time be in labour isn't it? Do you have.stay in hospital while they try with the first thing? Or can you go home? I'm in England aswel.x.

I dont know how it works as i dont know what country you are in. In England they give you a pessary and leave it to work between 12-24 hours. If nothing happens they give you a gel pessary and then after 6-8 hours if nothing happens they put you on an oxytocin (pitocin in usa) drip.

It is said to be more painful because is sneaks up on you, you dont have time to get used to the dull aches of the first labour pain. Its not actually that you are suffering from MORE pain than natural labour its just you get it all at once!

Good Luck!
