Could I be pregnant???

I'm 30 years old, not on birth control or any kind of medication.  I'm healthy and active.  My boyfriend and I use no form of protection and are kind of careless when it comes to sex.

The first day of my last period was on January 4, 2011.
I took a pregnancy test on Monday, February 14, 2011 -- it was negative.
However, the next day I had some spotting.  Very very light spotting.  It FELT like I had my period, but again, only spotting.  Today, there is nothing.  Was that my period??

Could I be pregnant? When should I wait until to test again? If it's negative again, then it's pretty accurate, right?

there is a chance you could be because your period is so late? about 2 weeks im guessing? but then usually when you are that late a positive should normally show by now. I would take another test if still no period and go see your doctor, they will be able to do blood tests etc hopefully be able to give you a definate answer as to whether or not you are pregnant from this, and if you arent then at least they will be able to see if anything else is causing your period to be late :) good luck

You ovulate about 2 weeks before your period is due. A pregnancy test should be taken when your period is due or late. By testing 10 days after your period were testing when you were actually more likely ovulating. Ovulation is when the egg is released from the ovary and is ready for fertilization. It lives for about 24 hours.

That being said spotting at this point in your cycle most likely could be ovulation spotting which is rare but does happen.
