which one is important job or my child

I am 9weeks pregnant I am a housekeeper/ janitor isn't there a restriction of how much I can lift and push? I got into it with my supervisor she told me to push the heavy trash I told her I cannot do that. I even have a paper stating nothing over 20pounds from my doctor. But all they want is me to push trash. And lift trash that is heavy more then 20pounds.

Well, to answer your question---  obviously the baby is more important.  If your doctor doesn't think at 9 weeks you should be lifting something over 20 pounds, then that's that.  Human resources has to respect that.

I had no such restrictions though when pregnant.  Parents of toddlers are lifting their 20 pound 2 year old all throughout there pregnancy.  :>)  But I understand that it is tiring, hard manual labor and that might not feel good to be doing right now.

So, if you can find another job, then do so.  good luck

There is no harm in lifting generally. OI lift, roll, push and pull on 200+ lbs people all day. However! You have a doctors note, by law they can not go against that and I'd go to human resources. If they fire you, I'd get a lawyer. That's absolutely crazy

this is when you tell them ull report them to human services or if there a corporation to corporate and if something happens to your child you will sue them and if they try to fire you guess what you will sue them

My job did that to me. For me i didn't want to lose my child over lifting a heavy box. I told them that i was pregnant and couldn't lift certain things. After getting a doc note. They put me on loa so i just quit. Instead of them just having someone else lift it they wanted me to do it knowing i was pregnant. If you have doctors note and its in your work file they cant make you do nothing and they cant fire you.
