My 38+4 week appointment..

Went alright. My doctor said I haven't dilated any more than I already was (2cm 80% effaced). But he did say that if I wanted, I could be enduced on Monday. What are your thoughts? My husband and I think we'll wait to see if he comes before my next appointment which is on the 13th. Just to see if mother nature takes it's course rather than speeding the process up. But I would still like your opinions. :)

Awwww! In my opinion I would wait! I got induced to speed up my process with my first and it ended up in a csection. Not saying that all induction ends that way, it just seems like csections are happening alot more often. Plus if you get induced then you don't get to experience the "omg my water broke" scene!

Thanks ladies, I feel so much better with our choice. I'm definitely going to wait. But I've been contracting a lot since I've been home, plus it's a full moon out..so you never know!

I highly don't recommend induction unless its medically necessary. The risk for c section goes way up with induction and they hurt worse. But its your choice and I know how hard it is to be patient.

Forgot to add that my mom will be here two weeks after the little one gets here. So she'll still have a little bit of time with him at least.

The thing is, is that if I wait for Friday i was gonna tell my dr to go ahead and schedule an enduction date. The good thing is, is that my mil will be here at 6pm Friday evening. So that means my mom and husband will be able to be with me during the whole thing. I don't wanna really do it before because the way I see it is since I've been pregnant 38 weeks, one more week won't kill me. You know?

Depends how anxious you are...but didn't you say your mom has to go home soon? If so I'd get induced! I was supposed to be induced on Monday too!!!!

It's up to you really! I'm gonna be induced 6 days before my due date because my doctor won't be here. If everything is looking good and the baby is ready to come it should be fine. It's your choice! :)

Personally I would wait. That way baby gets to pick their own birthday. Plus I don't like the thought of being induced.higher chance of a csection
