worried about vomiting!

ok I'm 12wks 4 days pregnant and have been very sick with this baby! I have been having nausea and vomiting for about 6 weeks and have had it bad enough that my dr has put me on to anti nausea meds that have seemed to be helping, but make me drowsy! for about  a week and a half i have been feeling less nauseatedbut for the past 5 days I have been throwing up everything including the meds to help me not throw up! sometimes i keep it down for a while in fact i had some food around 7 pm one night and threw it back up around 8 the next morning when I got up, i did'nt even think i would be able to throw it up after that long. my main concern right now is that I am not reall even able to keep water down atleast not for long, maybe some of it gets absorbed, but not much i am starting to feel dehydrated and am worried! I feel thirsty, but can't keep it down! I think i will call my Dr office tomorrow, I know it is not good to get dyhydrated. but looking for advice or input! thanks

hi, this is my 6th pregnancy, I had 4 miscarriages before this.  I am extremely sick and my hcg levels are very high (116,204 at 6.5 weeks) so I'm cautious this pregnancy will be successful.  I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant and I've had 3 ultrasounds..luckily the last 2 we saw a heartbeart, but I'm still worried about a partial molar which might take a few more weeks to see or down's syndrome.  I've tried everything to help with the sickness and it's not working...the B6, ginger Ale, having my prenatal vitamins at another time of day, eating saltines, and I still have no relief.  I'm throwing up about 3-5 times a day and am nauseaus the rest of the time.  I'm trying to get rest, but that does not help as I get light headed when I stand, feel hot even though I have chills, and I've had my thyroid tested too.  I have no energy and feel like I'm a bad mom to my 4 year old who does not understand that mom does not feel well.  I have not told anyone other than my husband I am pregnant because I've been dealing with so many losses that it's too painful to share again and again.  The waiting game of feeling better is nauseating in itself.  Is it horrible after all my losses to wish I was not pregnant now because I cannot handle being this sick all day everyday and all the gloom and doom of the possible partial molar or down's syndrome is wearing on me too?  I swear I won't try again for another pregnany if this one does not work out okay.  God is really torturing me here and it's so hard to have any faith left.  My next ultrasound and labs to check my hcg levels are 8 days away and I'm crawling out of my skin.

Instead of water try Gatorade or even pedialyte. It will help more with the dehydration then water and sometimes stays down longer too. If it gets to bad go to ER and get IV fluids that also sometimes  reduces the vomiting. Good luck.

thanks, i do have the nasuea wrisbands and they do help with the nausea, but not the vomiting! ginerale helps sometimes, but I am usually not able to keep it down. I also had not put on there that i have lost 20lbs since becoming pregnant and am having diahhrea as well! I do not think that my body is hanging onto much! I'v also been trying to suck on popcicles, but they are coming back up too! I am at a loss right know as to what to do!

THis is my 5th and I had severe vomiting with my other ones!!!! The whole pregnancy! The meds might not be a good thing becasue the ones they give you can dehydrate you! They are antihistamines moreso and I would not take them. You need to make sure you are not dehydrated first of all and you can always get iv fliuds that helps more then meds! You need to check your tyriod to make sure you do not ahve a pregnancy induced hypertyriod which causes you to throw up to much. I had this with my third, well all of them but her was worst! I ony gained 13 obs by 30 weeks and she came out fine! Just keep eating eand drinking no matter what. Try the sntinausea wrist bands. They work for some, ginger works.

Hopefully it will stop for you! As long as the bbay is growing on target then I would not worry it is more trouble for you not the baby as long as it is growing good.

Oh yeah and check your progesterone even if they say it can't be that! That can make you throw up more! It did me!
