stupid question but...

When you take your prenatal vitamin, does it get digested through your stomach?

I kind of feel like taking my prenatal vitamin for these past 21 weeks has been a total waste since I throw it up 99% of the time. Does my body still get the nutrients if I throw it up 10 minutes later?

It you can't keep down vitamins then you may want to look into visalus shakes. My friend lived off them when she was pregnant with twins and its the only reason they all stayed healthy. Her dr now swears by them.

Ask your doctor for a prescription! The vitamins I take have extra iron (I'm anemic), and ginger and some other things to help ease your tummy.(:

I'll try those, but even with those I'll still have to take an additional iron supplement because they don't contain iron. :(

yeah, and I get the same result. Usually the only time I can keep it down for a long period of time is when I pair it with my Phenergan, but then it's usually a few hours later.

I've tried about 5 different vitamins, and at all different times. I just throw up everything usually, whether its 10 minutes later or a few hours. lol thank you though

Not really. The intestines are what absorbs about everything. the stomach just uses acid and a sqeezing motion to break things down. maybe try takin it at a different time of day or a gummy?
