Brachial Plexus MRI
I went in for a brachial plexus MRI two days ago to evaluate a tumor. I was given the gadolinium contrast through IV and was in the MRI for about an hour. I am a 58 y/o female, post menopause. I don't know if it's a coincidence or a side effect of the contrast/MRI but since yesterday I've been having a burning sensation vertically in my neck and been having sudden onsets of sweat on and off. Could it be some sort of internal burn or reaction to the contrast? I had blood work done prior to the contrast and my kidney functions were fine. The skin is not red and normal. I have cervical spondylosis and stenosis so I am due for surgery next month, but I've never had that symptom except pain in the neck. Has anyone experienced this sort of burning sensation/sweats post MRI/contrast?
