Hello Community.
Would someone who is well versed in Thyroid disorders and radiology kindly review the recent findings of an ultrasound:
Isthmus
Two nodules are visualized in
the isthmus.The largest measures
0.4 x 0.2 x 0.4 cm. This nodule
appears hypoechoic.
The largest is solid. The largest demonstrates no calcifications.
The largest has smooth margins.
*Primary doctor says no follow up US is needed but I feel otherwise. Radiology reports this as intermediate risk but since it’s less than 0.5 cm they do not recommend screening.
Is someone able to provide feedback - have experienced something similar and medical professional who can comment. Thank you.
