Hello,
I hope this is the right place to ask this. A little over 2 months ago I became VERY aware of my left abdomen. I have, in the past had minor issues with colo-rectal health and have such had 3 colonoscopies, the last in 2013 at which I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis (pre-cursor to diverticulitis). At any rate the GI I visited suggested an abdominal CT which came back as normal to mainly check for divers-disease.
Since that time however, I have experienced minor dull aching in the upper left portion of my abdomen with no other symptoms. As we all know Google is the enemy here and now I fear terrible things. My question is, would general abdominal CT scan such as that I had reveal issues with other organs such as the pancreas and stomach? Would I be somewhat foolish to assume that if I indeed had tumor growth that would cause physical pain at this point it would have shown up in this CT?
Any advice would be great. I am indeed having the images reviewed by a second set of eyes.
CT abdomen/pelvis includes the liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, pancreas, adrenal glands, kidneys, bladder, reproductive organs, and bowel (stomach, small bowel, large bowel, and appendix). Good luck!
