excessive mucos, night wheezing,

I am 39 years old and I am suffering with thick clear mucous almost looks like jelly. Feels like something lodged in my throat when I clear my throat nothing comes up.. My coughs are not productive If I take a breathing treatment I am constantly trying to clear my throat and I begin to feel nauseated. At night when I lye down I am wheezing I have to literally sit up in the bed and sleep. I am on various meds for allergy and asthma. I have been given antibiotics with no resolution.There seems to be no end to this mucous/wheezing thing.. Please help!

I dont know if this helps but I am 29 years old and I had that clear stuff too. it was very hard to cough up but when I did, it was alot. then i started coughing until i vomited on a regular basis. I went o the doctor 2 weeks ago and was tested. I was positive for moderate emphysema. They said the clear stuff was a symptom. I suggest getting tested. good luck
