What are the symptoms of acidosis?  Do they come and go?  I feel drunk a lot.

The symptoms of mild acidosis associated with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) may be so subtle that people do not realize for years that they have this problem.  When the acidosis becomes more severe, it can affect thinking and coordination.
