BREATHING FLONASE ????

Hi I went to see my lung specialist today, I needed some reassurance that my sob was not due to anything other than my mind. I told her about my sudden attack when all of a sudden I could not breath or thought I could not, felt Like I was suffocating, She said
based on pft and ct scan and the fact that I raced my sister home for around A city block and cleaned my apartment for about an hour,
this sob was not due to my lungs but most likely a panic attack and maybe some sort of
sleep apnea. I ask her flat out as to rather I did or did not have copd She said simply probably she said anyone who has smoked for so many years would probably have copd Is she correct?, Based on my numbers On my pft which are
fev1 74
fvc 70
fv3 69
vc 70
tlc 77
erv 67
ic 66

and ct scan she said I should not be worrying so much and if I continued not to smoke probably this would not get to be a problem in the future,Is she correct that copd need not progress, if you do the right thing. my chest congestion and whizzing have gone away and I have stopped taking the flovent and all other inhalants. I was given flonase today for my nasal congestion.
Is flonase good to be on also how long before it works I am told it won't work right away?? thanks Morgan

I hope you will see this!  I use Flonase and do not personally think it does a thing.  It does take a couple of days to start working, supposedly.  One of my sisters does swear by it!  If your problem is breathing through your nose, though, I can help.  I have not been able to lie on my right side to sleep for years as I can't breathe through my nose.  I do not know if I have a deviated septum, but I do have allergies.  I am now using the Breathe Right strips at night, and they actually  DO work!  I can sleep on my right side now.  I am not affiliated with them in any way, btw. :-) Give them a try but be sure to follow the directions carefully.........wash your face and put it on exactly as the diagram shows.  I do also recommend that you have a sleep study too if your doctor recommends one.  It could save your life, and the only thing you have to lose is one night's sleep!  GL.
