Blood tests - results questions

My doctors have continued to be baffled of what is going on with me.  I have dsypnea at times, have pain in the center of my chest under my sternum (and on the xyphoid process), and burp a lot.  I've been to Mayo - and they said to have a methacholine challenge (did it and was "borderline positive").  I'm on foradil, pulmicort, & nexium, though the above symptoms continue.  There has not been a clear answer yet (heart echo normal).  I noticed on my blood test that it said my monocytes = 1.01 (leukocytes=10.5), uric acid=7.2.  Could there be something that is being overlooked in regards to a disease from this?  Could my levels go up and down?  This blood test was taken at the Mayo in October.  Should i be concerned?  The current plan of attack by my docs is to have a endo done with a bravo to see what is going on in regards to acid levels.  Any help would be a great benefit!!!

The pain and shortness of breath may or may not be related.  This would best be sorted out by a pulmonologist.

You should discuss your blood tests with the doctor who ordered them.  Typically when the results fluctuate or are high, the blood test is checked again.

The endoscopy to see if you have acid reflux is reasonable, especially with your "burping" and the location of your pain.

I would see a GI for you GERD...more than anything it sounds like it is affecting your asthma treatment.
