Collapsed lung??

Two years ago I began to get severe stabbing pain on right side chest under breast straight through to my shoulder blade. It came on suddenly and was excruciating with every movement or breath. It lasted for about an hour and left as quickly as it started. After the pain faded I felt like I was breathing through a straw. That was about 2 years go and it has been off and on every few weeks since.. A complete nightmare.. 3 emergency room visits 2 pulmonary specialists. And 4 urgent care visits and every X-ray and blood test was fine..so I just live with pain because I can't aff to be turned away with no answers again. So 5 days ago I go to er can't breathe and pulse was 170. They waited for my pulse to go down and let me go without doing a thing.. Next day I went to my primary doc and they did cat scan.. And they come back and say that my right lung had collapsed. I felt completely scared but so relived that they see what I have been complaining about for 2 years but they say it can't go on for 2 years.. So what is this pain I have been feeling 2 years then? They say it's spontaneous. Any ideas why I wo have this pain? It comes every month like clockwork. Sometimes a day sometimes a few weeks. I'm non smoker 5'3 and 115.

Yes you may have it. I have had 3 surgeries for this condition.  It started with pain in right shoulder blade and under right rib. I was told for 3 years that it was a pulled muscle. Finally was given a cat scan and was told my right lung was collapsed. They tried to let air out but it kept collapsing. Finnaly had emergency surgery and while they were repairing they also found holes all in my diaphragm. They did scapes and biopsy on lungs and diaphragm and came back positive for endometriosis. All my drs say they have never seen but i believe more women then they think suffer from this. Its called catimenial pneumothorax. Endo can even travel to your brain my drs say. My Surgery failed but have had two other procedures that have helped including talc.but it has and will not completely go away. strange part is there is only a tiny bit in my uterus and have no pain in stomach. If i were you i would get as many opinions as possoble. I guarantee its not a pulled muscle.  Good luck
