My husband started coughing up blood July 11th and went to the Dr. on July 14th. They did xrays and blood work and said he had some infection. They gave him an antibiotic, an inhaler and some cough medicine. They also told him he had what appeared to be scar tissue on his right lung and sent him for a CT Scan. Again, they said it looked like scar tissue and sent him to a Pulmonary doctor to schedule a bronchoscopy. We went to him August 10th and took the CT films. He says there's a "Mass with Cavitation" and DH will have the bronchoscopy Tuesday AM.
Exactly what does "mass with cavitation" mean? Can it be anything other that cancer? What?
