Crackling in chest while coughing blood

Doc, Last night I started having a crackling noise im my chest and to be able to breathe I had to cough, and each time I coughed a large amount of blood came up. Same thing happened this morning. It only lasts for 1 /2 hour each time. After coughing up blood the crackling stops I can breathe fine again??

Coughing up blood is always a potential problem. This blood could be coming from your sinuses down the back of your throat and being coughed up, or directly from your lungs. If this occurs at all today, I would suggest seeing your physician soon. The source of the bleeding must be determined.
