What ended up happening? Did you find out if you actually inhaled it into your lungs? I'm afraid the same thing has happened to me
This is probably what you experienced (I did, too; see my post)... Anytime something goes down the wrong way, indeed when someone "drowns," the vocal chords snap shut to protect the lungs from aspirating a foreign body. It's definitely a choking sensation, and you can't get air in. My experience was unrelated to swallowing anything, but seems the phenomenon was the same.
