On August 18th I became ill to were I gagged a couple of times and ran to the toilet but didn't throw up I also became very weak and went to the emergency. They did a blood test and said I had a virus but my potasium was low so they gave me an IV. I felt a little better the next day but then went down hill again I ended up in bed and returned to the doctor with no improvement in 11 days. He gave me a ten day treatment of antibiotics to be sure I didn't have an infection. My symtoms stayed consistant and I have been ill ever since. My liver enzymes were elevated recently and my X-Ray showed Pneumonia also recently, my blood test were normal. My doctor is reffering me to a lung specialist because he says my X-Ray looks suspicious and to get a second opinion on viral Pneumonia. I'm trying to determine if I have Pneuononia could I have it for seven weeks which is what I am on now. I do feel better than I did but still tired and have some mild symtoms but not coughing anything up and no fever. I was diagnosed with EBV early on and my doctor thought this was the problem. I tested negative for Mono, Hepititas A, B, and C. Does anyone have an idea if this is viral Pneumonia? and, Could the symtoms last this long or longer than seven weeks? Any other ideas?
