Coughing up blood

Okay about a week ago me and a friend was having oral sex, 3 days later he told me his throat was hurting. On his way to work, he started coughing as if he was about to throw up and when he spit, blood came out. I was just wondering does this has anything to do with us having oral sex, or could this be something else?

Hi Queen,
Your partner had throat pain and cough with blood-streaked sputum about three days after oral sex.
This may be related to sexually transmitted infection (example, gonorrhea is known to be transmitted by fellatio and cunnilingus, and may cause pharyngitis, or throat infection).

hi queen, yes it could be due to vigrous oral sex but at the same time he should consult a doctor to rule out other causes.
