Multiple Nodules

Hi. I have diagnosed with multiple pulmonary nodules and has undergo a CT Scan last Saturday. Prior to that, from my first x-ray result (it's actually for pre-employment), they saw fluid or something from my lungs..my lower lungs are weak..and the doctor told me to take Natravox (30 pcs, 3/day for 10days), gave me multi-vitamins because I am getting thinner.. he said it will be ok as soon as I consumed my med..then after that, I just wanna make sure if my lungs are clear, so another x-ray...only to find out that it becomes worst, they saw multiple nodules..so i need a CT Scan to find out what's inside those nodules...if that's a cancer or tuberculosis...my mom and I were scared...

I just want to seek help or any idea here..just for opinions or something... i will be seeing my doctor today...because my CT Scan result were already there..

I do have fevers that keeps coming back...weight loss...back pains or chest pains... hard to breathe... headache..and cough that keeps coming back..

Thanks.

Thanks for this... I just went to the hospital.. unfortunately, my doctor was out of town, but she has a reliever there..the reliever couldn't figure out if it is an infection or TB.. but then, I have some symptoms of TB and already take antibiotics (natravox) last month (i was diagnosed with Pneumonia before but the antibiotic didn't worked out), so she gave me Fixcom 4, medicine for TB..

That must be a painful surgery....i don't know yet, maybe i may have inhaled fungus or something like that..i am still researching about multiple nodules, and TB.. coz i do have coughs, fever, fatigue, etc..

Yes, my family and friends are supportive.. and i keep on praying.. we do.

First of all let me state that I have no medical background.  I have just gone through CT scans, a bronchoscopy and now a VATS (video assisted thoroscopy) surgery.  In my case the CT scans were unable to help decipher what was going on inside the nodules.  Doctors tried a bronchoscopy.  This consisted non-surgically (I mean no cutting) putting a small camera down into my lungs.  They looked around and took non-invasive samples.  These samples returned inconclusive results.  Using the bronchoscopy they couldn't get samples of the nodules to see what was inside.

Doctors decided they needed to get to the nodules so they could know if/how to treat them.  They did VATS surgery to cut out samples.  This surgery was done in Atlanta and was pretty amazing.  Less than 24 hours after the surgery I was home.  I had pain medication, but really didn't even need it.  A week later the results came in and it appears that the nodules contain something like talc!  So it appears that I inhaled some talc dust somewhere along the way.  I'm wondering if it came from sanding spackling used to fill holes in walls before painting.  I did a little of this and tried to take care of myself, but maybe that is what caused it.

Doctors had initially thought that perhaps I had a fungus in my lungs.  There are different types of fungus all over the world.  The one they thought I had was one found in the soil in Arizona and California.  I lived in the hot-spot for that fungus for 6 months back in 1984.  If you don't get a clear answer of what is going on from your doctors maybe you can ask about the possibility of a fungus being present.    There are various anti-fungal drugs, etc., that may be available if you have a fungus.

I know all this stuff is scary and sometimes just seems to come out of the blue.  I wish you the best.  It's good that you had your family with you.  You need support as you go through this stuff.
