Severe bad breath despite sinus ops and numerous antibiotics- please help!

Please help- I cant handle this bad breath anymore- my boyfriend won't kiss me!! I have had asthma all my life, severe sinus problems, had an operation on my ears and my sinus a few weeks ago- however I still produce foul smelling phlegm that stinks to high heaven, even just by being in my throat. I have returned to my doctor as I thought it might be the tonsil thing that I had seen mentioned on this website before, but he said I had no symptoms of it. I dont know what else to do- I just keep beng prescribed nasal sprays or antibiotics or throat sprays that simply never work for me.
I hate meeting new people or talking to them- its so debilitating, and I feel ridiculous asking the doctor the same questions again and again- I hope someone can help.

Me, too! I ask people and they tell me that I don't have bad breath but I know for a fact that I do because people step back or put their hand over their nose/mouth or theyoffer me a mint/gum!!! I went to 2 different dentists & hygenists and they 2 say I don't!!!

If they think it is embarrassing to tell me I have bad breath...how do they think I feel going around with bad breath?

Try looking up the words chest wall syndrome, costosternal syndrome, costosternal chondrodynia -- Also try looking in the Tietze syndrome literature for information about costochondritis.  For example in the material I have about costochondrondrits it denotes that the anterior chest pain simulates cardiac pain and causes great concern to the patient and confuses the clinician.  I do know costochondritis hurts a great deal and it can be chronic and have recurrent acute episodes.     Let us know what the doctors finally diagnosis your pain to be.

Costochondritis is chest wall inflammation.  Similar to Teitze Syndrome but a little different.  I have learned that Costochondritis can be acute and chronic.  There is a forum in the clubs under Yahoo on Costochondritis.
