Suffer from asbestos related problems and long lung capacity.

While having hyperbaric oxygen after radiation treatment, and before I have dental surgery, I suffered sweats, shaking, slight headaches, etc. It was put down as claustrophobia. But having worked underground, in boilers, and other extremely confined spaces, I am inclined to think it could be something to do with 2.5 normal atmospheres, plus 100% oxygen, combined?? Is there any suggestions as to alternative oxygen treatment where imparied lung capacity exists but oxygen treatment is needed to help avoid possible osteonecrosis??

I find what you're saying about, finding it hard to believe that you're claustrophobic, very interesting.  I have NEVER been claustrophobic, however, in the last couple of years, as my emphysema and COPD became worse, I began to have problems with having an MRI and even CT scans.  In the past, I could lay there for an hour without complaining, but, now when I'm put in the MRI tube, I begin to panic and start sweating.  I can only use an open MRI now.  The only thing I can conclude is that it is due to my breathing and oxygen problems.
