fatigued..

i started taking meds for pneumonia a week ago.  my horrible and deep cough went away, but what came after is killing me.  i am a single parent of a 9 yr old boy and a 15 month old girl.  doctor didn't say anything about making sure i get lots of rest..so i have gone about my regular life and i think i'm paying for it now.  i am done the cough syrup and i only have 2 days left of my anthizymsomething.  i can barely move about without breaking a sweat.  i have what feels like a fever, but when i take my temp it appears to be normal. i am sweating as i sit here and type this..but in a second i will get cold and feel the chills.  my muscles are achey.   i am soooooo tired.  and nauseous. no appetite.   i'm wondering if i go to the doctor are they going to put me in the hospital?  should i just let it run its course?  should i be concerned?  i have to admit i'm a little scared that if i go to a healthcare professional they might put me on an iv due to lack of fluid intake, loss of appetite and just generally not getting any bed rest.    anyone able to take my fear away?!
thanks for your time.

I agree 100%.  It sounds like the flu and you definitely need to be seen by a doctor.  Gatorade may be a very good idea.  I hope you have a friend or relative that can run errands and watch the kids.  You definitely needs rest and lots of it.

Feel better and praying for you.
God bless.

You need to see a MD! Drink plenty of fluids so your not dehydrated, this will help, try drinking some gatorade to give you more electrolytes back into your body.  It sounds like you have the flu, it is flu season still, feb and march is the peak time for the flu.  Take tylenol for your aches and you could be breaking your fever with the sweats and chills. Most of the time the fever will rise after the sun goes down, try checking it then.  Since you have two children to look after, you need to take good care of yourself, you cant take care of them when you arent taking care of you! I hope you feel better soon, May GOD bless you!
