have to take deep breaths

i am a 32 F.I have had fleeting instances of this before but it goes away.Friday night thru Saturday it became worse.I have this chest pressure, and i have to keep taking very deep breaths. My husband took me to the ER.They ran ekg, chest xray and blood tests, nothing came up.They insinuated anxiety attack, but I dont think so.Today its back.It feels as if someone is stepping on my chest and i have to breathe deeply, like deep sighs.what could it be?

Ever since I can remember I have had trouble breathing. I need to take a deep breath which people think it's me sighing to catch my breath, but over the last 5 - 6 years it's worse. I can not do anything much strenuous, else I start gasping and on some occasions I feel faint and sink. The other day when I was tiding up the garden shed I only just made it back inside the house, managed to get a Coke and was able to have 1 mouthful before I felt I had to lay down on the kitchen floor. This lasted for about 10 minutes.

Do you have any idea because when I mention it to any of the doctors they seem to brush it aside after testing me on the asthma blow tube.

Kind regards
Tony

I AM 38 AND AM HAVING ALMOST THE SAME THING.  I AM TAKING ANXIETY MEDS, ACID REFLUX MEDS, AND NOW AN INHALER.  NONE OF THESE HAVE HELPED SO FAR.  I JUST FEEL THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CHEST.  HAVE YOU HAD AN NEW IDEAS OR A REAL DIAGNOSIS?
