ok,i had this probleme with my sinusis since the age of 16 years old,i irnore it until 2 months ago,i started have lots a problemes breathing,(i dont smoke and i play tons of sports)when i would wake up it would hurt like crasy when i would bread deeply like if i had a ulcer in my throat, i pass all the test and they came up all normal,until i saw my ENT doctor,all this time i've been living with chornic sinusis,postnasal drip, a septem diviation and on top of that i had a poylps in one of my nastrals!today the doctor remove my packing in my nose and for the first time in mayne years i can bread, yes it was painful,and i have sthiches,but i feel so much better, my only worrie still is when i bread deeply i still kind of have that little annoying pain,wicht if its dosent go away afther i'm better i'm going tp tell my doctor,i wonder if i'm not allergics to my birds and dogs?do you think it will go away?anyways if people are scared getting this surgery, dont be it help me a great deal,it hurts a little but a little pain to bread better in life i take it!!! thanks!

The nasal septum is a plate of bone and cartilage along the center of the nose.  A deviated nasal septum is shifted to one side.  When your septum is deviated there is less space on the side that the septum leans towards.  Generally this area is squeezed.  This can block sinus drainage into the nose.  Surgery returns the septum to its usual position in the center of the nose.  This is generally helpful in clearing the blockage and decreasing sinus infections.

Nasal polyps are fleshy growths of the lining of the nose and sinuses.  Their roots are found in the upper part of the nose and in the ethmoid and maxillary sinuses.  On a sinus x-ray they may look like clouding of the ethmoid and maxillary sinuses.  A developing polyp is teardrop-shaped.  A mature polyp looks like a peeled seedless grape.  They can get large enough to block the opening of the sinuses and the nasal passage.  You could have felt this as sinus pressure or pain.  Some people have problems with a stuffy nose, sinus infections, or loss of their senses of taste and smell.

Nasal polyps can be removed by surgery.  However, the chance of nasal polyps growing back is extremely high.  Routine use of a nasal steroid spray may shrink nasal polyps.  If they are small this may be all the treatment that is needed.  If they are large, this treatment may shrink them enough that surgery is more likely to remove the entire root of the polyp so that it doesn

Give it time my friend. Your just a few days out of surgery! Of course you will experience some pain. Sometimes it can take a few weeks just to feel like things are back to normal.

well i know i will feel some pain,but i was hoping the pain when i bread deeply would leave,now i'm very sad because i did this to stop it,and it seems that the breading deeply part did not work,so that's why i'm wondering if i'm not allergic, to my birds or dogs, or even mararine butter, i started getting this 2 months ago ever since i change my diet, i wonder if that has something to do with it,before i got operated a nurse was talking to me saying she had the same probleme,and all her test became negative,but she started talking avair and she said that the pain went away,i mean my pain is not as bad ,but its still there the couhging went away, i wonder maybe when i heal everything will be gone?
