is it cancer?

hi, one of my closest friend  had a short duration of upper respiratory infection. X - rays were taken which showed ihazziness. later CT was done and showed multiple nodes infilterated over the lungs. Ct guided biopsy was done which showed negative for malignancy and TB; necrotic tisuuue was found. repeat x-rays had reduced haziness
Doctors are not sure about diagnosis. Is it cancer or pneumonia or allergic reaction or just tuberculosis? pls reply...... very much worried.

If it was negative for malignancy, that means they didn't obtain any cancerous cells during the biopsy. That is a good thing. But obviously there is something strange going on there. I think the best thing is to let the specialist follow your friends progress. Over time the doctor will be able to understand better what is going on, especially if the patient presents atypical for certain diseases looked into. You don't mention if your friend has any symptoms that he/she may be suffering from, such as shortness of breath, cough, chest tightness or wheeze?
