morning phelgm

Every morning I get phlegms,colour differs from transparent/yellow.but today it was blood stained.
I am getting this morning sputum since 2 years mostly in winter time.
I am allergic. I catch cough & cold easily.
How can I get rid of this?

in the winter the air is thinner & drier so it can irritate your nose & throat when breathing.  I wake up every morning usually very congested & once I blow my nose or cough I usually release the phlegm which can be pretty much ANY color.  

I've asked my DR & she suggested that using a humidifier during the night to help.  Having allergies does tend it make it worse because the nose/throat/lungs are already irritated.  

Trying using a humidifier for a week or so & see if that helps you. If not then it may be worth mentioning to your DR to see what she/he suggests.
