respiratory problem

Hi,
I have a problem in breathing and I hope that you can help me.

I am facing a huge difficulty in breathing and there's a strong pain in my chest.
I can't do any effort at all , I can't even walk for 20 meter without feeling difficulty in breathing and panting. also when I smell perfume or fume I can't breathe. now I eat a few food  to can take a breathe.

My x-ray on chest is clear but my echocardiogram shows that I have prolapsing in Mitral valve.
my ct-chest shows that I have hyper-inflated lungs 2-clear both lungs field 3- no pleural or pericardial sac collections.
I am still feeling difficulty in breathing and the feeling is increasing day by day,now I say at home and  can't live my life normally.can't sleep well.
Is there any treatment for my case? I hope that you really can help me.
At the end I want to say sorry If I disturbed you by my message.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, understand your anxiety. Inadequate oxygenation can produce symptoms of breathlessness, as the body tries in an effort to compensate for the decreased oxygen supply. The breathlessness could be due to cardiac or lung disorders. Breathlessness on exertion could be due to the decreased lung function. As the X rays are normal, lung function tests could help detect disorders like asthma and COPD. Again in cardiac disorders the heart is unable to pump the blood adequately, more so when subjected to stress like exercise. Mitral valve prolapse if complicated can cause breathlessness. Certain systemic disorders like anemia, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies and thyroid disorders can cause these symptoms. So please consult your primary care physician who may ask for an EKG or a treadmill test to rule out a cardiac cause for breathlessness. He may even ask for blood tests. Lung function tests could further help in evaluation. Regards.

I have been sick for 6 years. in the first 2 years I was able to do some effort but now I can't do anything. it's like all my symptoms grow with me everyday.     I am at home dying slowly. as I said before I went to many doctors but no one could diagnose my disease but, lately one doctor  told me that I have emphysema and gave me some medications I want to be sure that I have this disease to take the medications because I am afraid of taking  something makes my case more worse. I don't know what to do I am asking my god to help me.

Other then your mitral valve prolapse do you have any other disease processes going on? How long have you had this problem? What medications have you been on? Have you ever had these symptoms in past? These are questions that need to be asked. In my opinion If these symptoms are continuing to get worse you may need to see a pulmonologist as well as a cardiologist. If you have developed an allergy to perfumes is that new? You also stated you are having difficulty with breathing while eating is this new as well and how long has it been going on? Your PCP should be well advised to all these symptoms as there are a multitude of diagnosis that could explain your problem. Take the time to look back and write down all your medical history and answer the questions above.
