size of lymphnode increased

i recently came from moscow in july.i am 22 years old and i am a chain smoker, i used to smoke two packets of cigarette since i was of 15. on 20th august i noticed that m having pain on left side of my chest and having low fever ranging 99f-100 f during day time between 11am to 7 pm. i thought it is because of gas, then i went to the doctor , he said u are having some muscle pain and i'll be fine in 3-4 days and gave me some anti allergic tablets, but after 4-5 days i didn't get recover then i myself decided to have a x-ray PA view , it came normal but i was scared of having cancer because i used to smoke a lot then i went to another doctor then he advised me to get ct-scan of my chest ,i did the same and result came as my lymphnode increased (size=13.6x16.1x10.2mm ) in left hilar region ( non specific)

rest normal study of  HRCT & CECT chest.

then i again approached to my doctor and he gave me some pills :  (bixigard-o ,manivtal capsules, alerfix total, cepodem 200)

but i was not at all satisfied because there was no relief in my chest pain as well as fever. then i went to lung cancer specialist he checked all my reports and told me that there is nothing serious to worry about and also i don't need to have all the antibiotics and advised me to have crocin tablets 4 times a day, but still i was not satisfied and again changed my doctor , he asked me to have several tests including ( cbc blood test, typhi dot ,serum ,QUANTIFEROM-TB GOLD;GAMMA INTERFERON,PLASMA@ (EIA), MANTOUX TEST(TUBERCULIN SKIN TEST)

RESULTS WERE

CBC BLOOD TEST: PACKED CELL VOLUME -38.50 %
                              RED CELL DISTRIBUTION WIDTH (RDW)-17.20%
                              LYMPHOCYTES - 40.6%
                               EOSINOPHILS-7.70%

rest of the components were normal.

TYPHI DOT SERUM : POSITIVE

TB GOLD :

NIL TUBE IN IU/mL - =0.35 & >=25% OF NIL TUBE -POSITIVE

THEN MY DOCTOR STARTED MY TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT , HE INCLUDED PILLS

risorin kit ( whole kit empty stomach) (rifampicin 200 mg,isoniazid 300 mg,piperine capsule 10 mg)
zanocin od ( after breakfast)
rabeloc rd( after breakfast)
b protein powder
absolut 3g capsules (in evening)

i am having these tablets since 6 days. during these 6 days only two days went without fever but today again i am having fever 99f please tell me this happens normally or should i consider other options also.?

i forgot to write that i am not at all having breathing problem nor any weight loss or cough. sometimes i also used to have dull pain in left side of my shoulder.

having these medicine my chest pain is getting better.

thanks

Hi, after starting the anti tuberculous therapy, it may take time for the fever to subside. Tuberculosis is not caused due to smoking. It is an infection. Tuberculosis, or TB, is an infectious bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which most commonly affects the lungs. It is transmitted from person to person via droplets from the throat and lungs of people with the active respiratory disease. But it can be treated completely, just ensure to see that you complete your full course of therapy. Also, get a good balanced diet to boost up your immune system and to help tackle the infection. And quit smoking, as this can further compromise the lung function. So, don't worry and you can post any further queries you have, will be glad to answer. Regards.
