Hello and hope you are doing well.

If there is a total collapse of the trachea on expiration, surgical repair of the tracheal collapse may help with your symptoms. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

There are sprays and inhalers. Sprays are used locally in the nose. Inhalers work on the lungs.

Steroid nasal sprays can help prevent nasal congestion in allergic rhinitis. You could also use saline nasal sprays, they help to clear the passages. For prevention of Asthmatic attacks, you can use steroid inhalers. They help to prevent attacks of asthma. They are quiet effective and need to be taken long term. You should discuss this with your doctor and chose an appropriate therapy suitable for you.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

The allergy specialist is who sent me to pulmonologist.  I am taking Singulair  every night for prevention.  It doesn't appear to do anything, but I am able to tolerate it, so we assume it isn't hurting.  Also, warmer weather will help soon. My butt is complaining about too much sitting.  I am considering purchasing a leg/arm rotating whatchamacallit.  I need to start therapy for balance and should be able to purchase a  whatchamacallit through the therapist   At least I hope so.
Dosent using nasal drops and spray become habit forming because you plug up more and need more to unplug?  I use that only when I seem plugged solid. Or is that what you meant?  The fumes of steam from diluted vinegar (boiling) or the fumes from string that has been ignited and the flame extinguished works pretty good without bringing on a worse situation.  Or at least I thought so.. I really don't know.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament.
Are you allergic to steroid inhalers also? For Prevention Steroid inhalers are used regularly for prevention of attacks. The steroid content is very low in an inhaler and only acts locally. Use will prevent the causative allergens from triggering an attack. Repeated cold with nasal blockage can trigger attacks. Keep the nostrils clear of blockages by using nasal drops or sprays and try steam inhalation.

Also, have you consulted an allergy specialist, he could help identify the allergens and desensitize you.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

More thanks to Dr. Aniatha.  I'm not certain anymore what I included in my reply to you previously.  I went back to pulmonologist.  I am allergic to all relief inhalers, nebulizer action exacerbates the condition.  I have been dependent upon suggested breathing exercizes.  I now have a kit of my own to use when necessary.  Aim is to try to stop the wheezing when it gets to the coughing and spasm stage.  I have cough medication, a tablet to help with relaxing, and if these and my exercises do not slow down or eliminate the coughing, I start Prednisone.  That keeps me from throwing up and blacking out because I am unable to breathe.  So far this is working for me.  I don't know exactly what the damage is to the trachea, but surgery is not suggested.  I have other issues to deal with.  Will wait until another day.  Thank you.
