your last post was all about your hiv testing hence why I said what I did about hiv. you didn't mention hpv at all in that post.
in the US, the gardasil shot is approved for males and females under the age of 29.
I was wondering if someone can give advice about the HPV vaccine for men? I was talking to the county healthcare clinic staff about the same but she said that government facilities dont approve the same?
Any insights?
I also had concern about HPV hence I think my posting here was justified and as per the post I thought responsible for posting the update at both places. I hope this addresses your concern.
you have a post going on the hiv forum which is where all hiv related questions belong. follow up there, not here. thank you.
I took the HIV test today at the county healthcare center and it came out negative. They did the RAPID hiv test. I was wondering whether how accurate is this test that they conduct because it was fairly fast (like 20 minutes)? The test results for other stds will be given to me in about a week but they assured me that atleast there is no HIV.
Should I go for more tests? I am seeing a doctor coming friday. Should I ask him to reorder the tests? Please advice.
Thanks .. I will do it first thing on Monday ..
It does not matter your WBC or Lymphocytes levels, you need to get tested for stds including HIV. Symptoms are very vague and non specific thus, not good indicators of evaluating whether or not you have HIV. I would suggest to ease off your anxieties that you get tested or make a plan/appointment with your general physician or nearby clinic (if that is the case, you just need to walk in) with a clinic physician. Any abnormalities your girlfriend may have experienced could be many things. HPV can occur in anyone and most of the time, they would not lead to anything too serious. If you have any more questions about HIV, please post them in the HIV prevention community for more insight about HIV.
